For those who have not gone to the Royal Melbourne Show, I highly recommend that you rush to it before it ends!! It is currently located in Showgrounds and it is from the 22 SeptemberΒ to the 2 October,Β so it is ending real soon guys! This Carnival has loads of attractions such as roller coasters, showbags, free animal petting and even fireworks at the end of the night! The online tickets costs $40 for adults but if you get it after 5pm it will be discounted to $20!

While I was there I grabbed myself a classic sundae from SOI for $7.00 and it was delicious with its chocolate sauce and Oreo toppings πŸ˜‹

And just before the fireworks display I got a quick dinner, which is the lamb roll with gravy sauce from Redgum Roast for $10 and it was mouth watering! I gobbled that up so fast! Was really glad I chose that place out of sooo many stalls that they have in the carnival!

Have you guys been there yet? Would love to hear your experience on this awesome event!

Deconstructed Food?

IMG20180926120822.jpg

Hey guys! Recently, I went to Small Grace, located in Footscray, with my friends for brunch and I ordered the Salmon & Rye for $19.00 while we shared the chocolate waffles for $17.00. It is a little bit on the pricey end and I got to say that I was confused on how to eat the meal πŸ˜… The salmon and poached eggs were really good but I think the bread was a little too hard and sweet for me? And I had no idea whether to put the cream thingy and pickled vegetables on the bread too. So overall it was a unique experience for me, maybe you guys can help me know how to eat it so next time I am prepared πŸ˜†! The waffles was a bit better with the strawberries and grilled banana, but the star of that dish was the authentic vanilla ice cream πŸ˜‹ I paired these off with their iced chocolate drink for $5.00 and I recommend this for those who like to drink the less sweet type of chocolate.

Do you guys know any deconstructed food places or any unique meal displays I can go to? let me know in the comments!!

The LOVE of my life πŸ—πŸ—!

IMG20180828182301.jpg

Okay guys, I have to confess.. I am OBSESSED with NeNe Chicken!! and my friends can attest to that because I eat there like on a weekly basis πŸ˜† As the name suggest, their main food is fried chicken and it is what I go for~ I order the half & half 12 pieces of drumlettes and wings for $15.78, the half & half means i get to choose two sauces and my all time favorites are garlic and swicy (spicy and sweet but it really is just sweet 🀣). I recommend eating the 12 pieces if you are really hungry or would want to take away the leftovers, if not then I suggest eating the 6 pieces. in this particular photo I ate at Elizabeth St but there are other places too like Melbourne central, which is good for taking away cause it is very small, and Highpoint. And that is it for this review! ugghh really want NeNe Chicken now that I wrote this 😲 Would love to hear from you guys any other fried chicken place that can try to beat this!

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands..🍫

My usual go-to dessert place is Max Brenner as it barely 10 minutes away from where I live. I used to only have the Tutti-Frutti Waffle until I discovered their Banana Split Waffle Sundae and now it is the only thing I ever get when I go there! 😍 Their Tutti-Frutti Waffle cost $15 for a single and $20 for a double. The waffle(s) comes with fruits, melted chocolate and a big scoop of ice cream. The banana spilt waffle sundae comes with bananas ( obviously😝 ) , ice cream, melted chocolate, waffle pieces, chocolate nuts and a caramel sauce! It cost $15 and I find it worth it because I feel so full afterwards and even skip a meal before I have it just so I can finish the dessert if I am having it on my own.

Both desserts are great for sharing if you’re just looking to have a dessert after a big meal. The ambience of the place is great and I believe they are located in many places including CBD but my go to place for Max Brenner is Highpoint.Β

Have you guys tried Max Brenner? If you have, what did you try? Let me know down below!

Brunetti….again?😬

This is probably my 3rd post on Brunetti’s ( I have a sweet tooth, don’t judge😝) so I am going to make this post short and sweeeet ( see what I did there?😝). There’s so much to have and try at Brunetti’s that I can’t resist going back. This time I tried their gelato and my god, it was amazing!! I got two scoops for $6 which is a pretty fair price I feel. I tried the salted caramel and the matcha flavour. Both were really good but I loved the matcha one more and was a little bummed that the scoops were uneven (you can even see it in the picture). I got a cup full of salted caramel and just a small scoop of matcha on the top. The next time I go there I would probably get it in a cone instead of a cup and see if there is a difference.

Do you guys know any great places for gelato in Melbourne? If you do, please let me know!

Indian Food!

Chettinad Chicken Biryani with yogurt and curry

I just realised I have not done a single post on Indian food which is pretty funny to me as I love love love Indian Food!😍 A group of friends and I were just roaming around Melbourne CBD hunting for food ( like hungry little sharksπŸ˜‚) and came across an Indian restaurant called Anjappar. We decided to try it out and guess what? We fell in love! I tried their Chettinad Chicken Biryani which cost $12.90. I think it was pretty cheap considering how big the portion was. The dish also came with some curry and yogurt to help control the spicy level of the dish. The picture does not do justice but under that mountain of rice is lots of chicken pieces 😍

The restaurant was big and there was no wait time at all which was great. I even tried their rose milk which I thought I took a picture of….apparently not.😫 It came in a really small disposable cup and you could probably finish the drink in a few large sips. It tasted really good but with the price if $5, it was far from worth it.

Have you guys been to Anjappar? If you have, what did you have? Also to all my Indian foodies out there, let me know if there’s any good indian restaurants I should try out!

Gonna get all dem buns!

IMG20180916124540.jpg

Hello guys! And once again I am back for another South Melbourne Market review but this time we are going Chinese. These buns are from Bambu and I went for the outside stall, which is for take outs while its eating there area is opposite from this stall, and both of them have quite a long line so you got to go there when the opportunity arrives. I had the pork bun for $5.50 and the custard buns which comes in 2, for $6.00 and they were different from the usual. What’s different about the pork bun is that they pour what I think is sweet soy sauce in the middle of the bun, which has a hole so it is mixed with the tender pork meat. And for the custard buns, they pour a lot of kaya sauce all over the buns so prepare some wet tissues before you eat this because it is going to get messy! But keep in mind that the custard inside the bun is not the gooey, spills out like fondue type but the chewy type. These are perfect for when you want a quick bite because there are different types of buns you can choose from πŸ˜‹

That is all for this review! Thanks for reading, I would definitely love to hear your recommendation for any places with tasty buns or dim sums!

Back at it again πŸ˜Ž

IMG20180918162428

I am back with another Brunetti review but this time I am focusing on the savory menu and it is just as good as the desserts 😍! I had the Salmon & Camembert toasted sandwich, which costs $11.90, and it was d-e-li-cious! You have the option of either toasting the sandwich or leaving it as it is, so maybe next time I will leave it as it is just to see the difference. This is definitely good if you want to split it with a friend when you are not really hungry but would like something other than desserts or snacks. However, I would advise you to eat it quickly since the bread did get a little bit hard to eat at the end πŸ˜…Β  I paired this meal with a chocolate milkshake for $6.90 and it is a good replacement for the Universal restaurant chocolate milkshake (which I did a review about in the past if you wanna check it out!) if you want a less thick texture.

This is a different location then the previous review on Brunetti because instead of eating at the main area, me and my friend chose to sit in a smaller area that has a glass view of the almost outdoor area! A little bit confusing to write 😡 but! just know that there are different types of feel in each location, which you should definitely try out yourself! Sooo tell me, are there other places with cool or unique atmosphere? let me know in the comments 😁

Gotta love Malaysian food!

IMG20180826202824

I found this small place in South Melbourne and I frequently go there when I want to eat Malaysian food, it is called Penang Road located in South Melbourne. For the meal I ordered the Ipoh Char Hor Fun for $12.90 and it was really good even though it is still not as close to the authentic Malaysian taste because they got the salty level just right! Next is the drink and it is the Iced Teh Tarik for $4 and I don’t recommend getting this because it was kind of diluted πŸ˜” The place can get really loud and crowded due to its small space so I suggest going there at off peak hours or calling the restaurant ahead of time to book some seats if you are going with a large crowd. That is it for this review! Would looove to hear your suggestions for any place that sells good Teh Tarik or any other sweet drinks!

Another Burger…

It has already been established that I enjoy a burger or two, so here is another burger review. AU79 is a cafe in Abbotsford renowned for their coffee. Yesterday I went to get a coffee there (which was AMAZING by the way) and ended up staying for lunch as well. The menu was huge and between the all day Breakfast menu and the Lunch menu, it took me a while to decide but, eventually I settled for the AU79 Burger.

FullSizeRender-1.jpg

The burger came with a bowl of fries and sauce and cost me a total of $20 which I thought was pretty reasonable as you can see the size of the burger and chips. Also the cafe was beautifully done up and was simply lovely just to sit in. Our meals came very quickly and I was happy with the service.

Now to the burger. THIS BURGER WAS AMAZING. You can see the melted cheese on the burger in the photo, now let me tell you it was better in real life!! I never leave anything on my plate but yesterday I has to leave a few chips as I was so full and satisfied from the burger but, the chips too were seasoned and cooked to perfection. I was in a quality food coma afterwards.

I did not regret my choice in ‘accidentally’ having lunch here nor do I regret my choice in eating that burger. I don’t think you would either so head down to AU79 and eat!!!

I am telling you it is worth it!!!
