Indian Food!

Chettinad Chicken Biryani with yogurt and curry

I just realised I have not done a single post on Indian food which is pretty funny to me as I love love love Indian Food!😍 A group of friends and I were just roaming around Melbourne CBD hunting for food ( like hungry little sharks😂) and came across an Indian restaurant called Anjappar. We decided to try it out and guess what? We fell in love! I tried their Chettinad Chicken Biryani which cost $12.90. I think it was pretty cheap considering how big the portion was. The dish also came with some curry and yogurt to help control the spicy level of the dish. The picture does not do justice but under that mountain of rice is lots of chicken pieces 😍

The restaurant was big and there was no wait time at all which was great. I even tried their rose milk which I thought I took a picture of….apparently not.😫 It came in a really small disposable cup and you could probably finish the drink in a few large sips. It tasted really good but with the price if $5, it was far from worth it.

Have you guys been to Anjappar? If you have, what did you have? Also to all my Indian foodies out there, let me know if there’s any good indian restaurants I should try out!

Why do Hamburgers go to the gym? … to get better buns

Burgetory had been constantly popping up on my social media and I finally gave in. I made it over to Kew to find the little burger joint that I had seen so much of. The Burger that I had seen so much of was a double patty burger wrapped in a black brioche bun. I knew that was what I had to order before I even got there! My friend got the so called ‘Pride Burger’ which is everything you’d expect in a burger but I went next level and got the ‘Wrath Burger’.

This burger comes with 2 beef patties, 2 different types of cheese, two rashes of bacon as well as homemade wicked sauce yet, somehow they have still managed to cram a bit of salad in there. On the menu there is a little chilli symbol next to the Wrath burger which was necessary. The wicked sauce was spicy but I am a fan of spice. The burger alone cost me $15.90 but as you can see, it was well big enough to eat by itself and feel full. Its not something I would eat or afford often but it is a nice treat.

The burger was yum but it was a lot and I struggled to finish it. If you don’t like spice this burger is not for you otherwise, I would recommend this burger any day but not everyday, diabetes would occur quickly haha. Anyway there are lots of different choices of burgers and I’m sure you would find one to enjoy at Burgertory! Go give it a try and tell me how you go.

Burgers Joints are becoming more popular here in Melbourne, apart from McDonalds do you guys know of any that I should give  go?
