For those who have not gone to the Royal Melbourne Show, I highly recommend that you rush to it before it ends!! It is currently located in Showgrounds and it is from the 22 September to the 2 October, so it is ending real soon guys! This Carnival has loads of attractions such as roller coasters, showbags, free animal petting and even fireworks at the end of the night! The online tickets costs $40 for adults but if you get it after 5pm it will be discounted to $20!

While I was there I grabbed myself a classic sundae from SOI for $7.00 and it was delicious with its chocolate sauce and Oreo toppings 😋

And just before the fireworks display I got a quick dinner, which is the lamb roll with gravy sauce from Redgum Roast for $10 and it was mouth watering! I gobbled that up so fast! Was really glad I chose that place out of sooo many stalls that they have in the carnival!

Have you guys been there yet? Would love to hear your experience on this awesome event!

Deconstructed Food?

IMG20180926120822.jpg

Hey guys! Recently, I went to Small Grace, located in Footscray, with my friends for brunch and I ordered the Salmon & Rye for $19.00 while we shared the chocolate waffles for $17.00. It is a little bit on the pricey end and I got to say that I was confused on how to eat the meal 😅 The salmon and poached eggs were really good but I think the bread was a little too hard and sweet for me? And I had no idea whether to put the cream thingy and pickled vegetables on the bread too. So overall it was a unique experience for me, maybe you guys can help me know how to eat it so next time I am prepared 😆! The waffles was a bit better with the strawberries and grilled banana, but the star of that dish was the authentic vanilla ice cream 😋 I paired these off with their iced chocolate drink for $5.00 and I recommend this for those who like to drink the less sweet type of chocolate.

Do you guys know any deconstructed food places or any unique meal displays I can go to? let me know in the comments!!

My usual go-to dessert place is Max Brenner as it barely 10 minutes away from where I live. I used to only have the Tutti-Frutti Waffle until I discovered their Banana Split Waffle Sundae and now it is the only thing I ever get when I go there! 😍 Their Tutti-Frutti Waffle cost $15 for a single and $20 for a double. The waffle(s) comes with fruits, melted chocolate and a big scoop of ice cream. The banana spilt waffle sundae comes with bananas ( obviously😝 ) , ice cream, melted chocolate, waffle pieces, chocolate nuts and a caramel sauce! It cost $15 and I find it worth it because I feel so full afterwards and even skip a meal before I have it just so I can finish the dessert if I am having it on my own.

Both desserts are great for sharing if you’re just looking to have a dessert after a big meal. The ambience of the place is great and I believe they are located in many places including CBD but my go to place for Max Brenner is Highpoint.

Have you guys tried Max Brenner? If you have, what did you try? Let me know down below!

Watermelon Sorbet

Hi everyone! Today’s post is on…*drumrolls* ice cream! One of the best places in Melbourne for ice-cream has got to be Pidapipó. Pidapipó is known for its’ artisanal gelato and unique flavors. They have stores in 3 locations across VIC; Carlton, Melbourne CBD and Windsor. I have been to the Carlton and CBD location. Both places have really limited seats but there is plenty of space to stand around outside the stores and enjoy your ice cream. The one thing I really love about Pidapipó besides their ice cream, is that they get creative and change some of their flavors when the seasons change.  They have fruit based and milk-based ice creams. Some of the flavors I have tried includes banana milk, salted caramel, nutella swirl and even watermelon! The prices differ according to the number of scoops. 1 scoop cost $4.50, 2 scoops cost $6.50 and 3 scoops cost $7.50. You can choose between a cup and a cone too! And for all of you that can’t get enough of Pidapidó (me especially) …..guess what? They even have take-away tubs! The stores close around 11pm which makes it a great place to go for desserts after dinner. Let me know down in the comments below what flavors you would recommend for me to try the next time I go! Till next time, fellow foodies!
